Trends come and go. Specific styles can also be distinguished within UI design and new ideas spread at lightning speed. A new trend that is becoming visible on more and more sites and applications is called Glassmorphism (also called Glass).
This style simulates a layer of glass that gives a design both depth and transparency. The glass seems to float in space.
I couldn't stay behind with this trend as I had to honor my family name ;-) The image here shows a re-design in Glassmorphism style of the Vitens residues information system. This dashboard is completely transparent with a blurry effect as you also see with frosted glass in the real world. The 3D drops also give it an extra spatial effect.
